Our favourite cities

Moscow
Moscow is a central of Russia and Eastern Europe. Moscow population is about 13.2 million. There are a lot of giant squares and streets, for example the Red Square. Also there are big buildings for example the Kreml and Saint Basil's Cathedral. Moscow has got large subway system. The culture and the art are very important in this city, there are 61 museums and 27 galleries. The climate of Moscow is very cold in winter, the extrem minimum temperature was -42.2.

Japan (Előd)

Japan is a small island in Pacific Ocean. There’s in Asia near China and Korea. The capital of Japan is Tokyo and the currency is Japanese Yen. The official language of Japan is Japanese. All students study English. Otherwise the Japanese are very strange. The population of Japan is about 127 million and a lot of people from other countries live and work there. Most of the population lives in Tokyo, but also a lot of people live in big cities, like Yokohama and Hokkaido. There are lots of turists from Europa, USA and Africa.

Hungary (Marci)

Hungary is a small country in middle Europa. It's an interesting country and bordered by Slovakia, Austria, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia.The capital of Hungary is Budapest and the currency is the Hungarian Forint. The official language of Hungary is Hungarian. All students study English and German in the schools, but people also study Spanish, French and Mandarin. The population of Hungary is about 11 million and a lot of people from other countries live and work there. In big cities, like Budapest and Debrecen, over five per cent of the population come from outside Hungary. In particulary there are a lot of people from Asia, Romania, Slovenia and Transylvania.

England (Ádám)

England is large coutry. It lies in the West of Europe. The capital of England is London and the currency is the England Pounds. The official languages is English. Most peolpe speak English. The population of England is about 53 million. A lot of people from other countries live and work there. In big cities like London, Manchester and Liverpool over thirty percent of the population come from outside from abroad.

My favourite writer

Laura Leiner (Kata)

 Laura Leiner is a Hungarian writer. She was born in Budapest in 1985 and she lived here her whole life. By the age of eighteen, Laura Leiner wrote some proses and novel. Her first novel’s name was the Remek!, but the first big success in her life was the St. Johanna high school. She wrote a lot of novels. She is a really energic and helpful women. Her books are very successful because she know what the reader needs. Her novels are very funny and romantic.

Joanne Kathleen Rowling (Rebeka)

J.K Rowling was an English writer. She was born in 1965. She and her family moved a lot.

By the age of six Rowling wrote her first tale about a bee. When she was eight years old they moved to Whales . She loved living here. She liked writing and reading books to her little sister. By the age of eighteen she was studying on a university in Paris. After Rowling graduated from university she went to London and became a secretary.

In 1990 she moved to Portugal and lived there for a year. When Rowling finished her first book, she couldn't find a publisher. In 1996 she published the Harry Potter and the Philosopher stone in London. After a few years she became famous! In total J.K Rowling wrote seven Harry Potter books.

Now, her books are very popular all over the world, and every people knows her name.

Arthur Conan Doyle (Dorka)

 Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish writter. He was born in Edinburg in 1859 and he lived until 1930.  From 1876 until 1880 he went to the Medical School in university of Edinburg. In 1885 he began work and married Luise Hawkins. About  1 year later he began write stories. Hi finished his first creation in 1887. He has a lot of creations, for example: The Lost World, The Land of Mists and my favourite are the novels about Sherlock Holmes. Now the people go to the libraries and can rent and read lot of book of Sir Arthur Connan Doyle. And lot of people can watch films and TV series from him.

Viki: My favourite city is Barcelona

Barcelona is a city in Spain. It's got a population of about 3 180 461
and there is a lot of tourism here.

I like Barcelona because it's a very nice and great. There are some beautiful parks. For tourists there are a lot of interesting shops and some very good beaches. My favourite places are the beaches. Barcelona is 2000 kilometers from Hódmezővásárhely. It's about eigth hours on the train and there are trains and buses from Budapest.

Paris is a city in the east of English. It`s got population of about 2 240 621 and here is a lot of tourism here. I like Paris beacuse it`s a friendly place and it`s very nice. There are some really new buildings and it`s got some clean parks. For tourists there are lot of interesting shops and some very good restaurants. My favorite places are the parks and the Eiffel- tower.

Paris is 73 kilometres from Compiégne. It`s about an hour on the train and there are trains and buses from Charles de Gaulle airport.

Lili: My city: Szeged

Lizett: My city: Athens

Athens is a city in the Southern European part of Greece. It has got the population appr 9,8 million  and there's a lot of tourism. I like Athens because it's a friendly place and it's very pretty. There are some really old buildings. For tourists there are a lot of interesting shops and some very good restaurants. There are spectacular places,  the beach and Acropolis. Approximately 2 and a half days it is necessary to travel with a bus and rudely 2000 kilometres from Szeged.

Alexa: My city: Budapest

Budapest is a city in the north of Hungary. It's got a population of about 2 million and there is a lot of turism there. Budapest is the capital of Hungary.

I like Budapest because it's a noisy place and it's very pretty. There are some really old buildings and it's got some beautiful baths. For tourists there are a lot of interesting shops and some very good resturants. My favourite places are there river and the zoo.

Budapest is 2 hundred and 20 kilometers from Hodmezovasarhely. It's about an 2 hours on the train and there are trains and buses from Liszt Ferenc airport.

A day to remember

I remember my cousin's 18th birthday party. It was Friday and there wasn't any cloud in the sky.It was a very memorable day. First,a lot of people came to our house.At ten o'clock we went to the hotel. After that we went to the restaurant. We had lunch there and after that we went to the hotel. The party started about seven o'clock. There was a good band and a big swiming pool. It was cool! About mindnight,we went home. There were about fifty people. I remember my cousin clearly because he had a really funny dress.
It was a great and funny day! I felt very happy!

I remember a party three months ago. It was Friday and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
First, a lot of people came to our house. At six o’clock we started the party. We ate, drank, danced and laughed a lot. We played activity, Wii and Xbox. We swam in the swimming pool. The water wasn’t cold. I remember my best friend clearly because her hair was purple. It was a really great and funny party, I felt very good.

I remember my birthday one month ago. It was sutterday and rained. Five friends come to my party. We did'nt do much. We were talking ,playing my computer games and we played in my garden.We ate some sandwiches at around 3. There weren't any problems at the end of the party. Bálint has broken bikes therefore became very angry.
It was a really great day and I left very happy.

I remember the strawberry day three weeks ago. It vas Friday and Saturday and it was sunny.. It vas a very memorable day. First, some friends came to my home. Lora,Luca and Zsófi brought one kg strawberry and two pieces of chocolate. We are  into strawberries in melted chocolate. The fruits had amazing taste. We had lunch there and then the strawberry party started. We went to the ice-bar with my dog. We  bought fine ice cream in the Zója ice-bar. There weren’t any problems during the day. Finally we watched two exciting horror films in my room, on the laptop.I remember text day eat the strawberries and drink hot chocolate. It was really great day and Iwas very happy!
